What is Hopes Place?

Hope Place provides emergency housing for up to 90 days for families with children in Volusia and Flagler counties who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless. Families receive a safe place to stay, three meals a day, child care, tutoring, and one-on-one case management — everything needed to get back on their feet, together.

A safe place to rebuild

In 2025, Hope Place sheltered 124 families — 25,289 nights of safety for children who would otherwise have slept in cars, motels, or on the street. And it works: 71% of Hope Place families move on to permanent housing. Our campus includes family housing rooms and apartments, a café, a playroom, a study room, a library, and a courtyard where kids can just be kids.

What does the program include?

Every Hope Place family receives safe emergency housing for up to 90 days, three meals a day for every family member, day care for children so parents can work and search for housing, tutoring to keep kids on track in school, parenting and budgeting classes that build lasting skills, and dedicated case management to guide the path back to a home of your own. When families are ready, our Rapid Rehousing Program provides financial assistance for the move and follow-up support to make sure the new start sticks.

Young adults on their own

Hope Place also serves unaccompanied youth — young adults who have aged out of the foster care system with nowhere to go. In 2025, we served 27 young people, and 70% moved on to permanent housing. If you’re a young adult facing homelessness, you don’t have to face it alone. [Apply Now]
